Annual conference

The NYS ID/DD Nurses Association (NYSIDDDNA) will be hosting the NYSIDDDN 2025 Annual Conference September 15-17 at the Albany Marriott in Albany, New York.

Hosting the Annual Conference provides the Association with the opportunity to meet its primary purpose, which is to promote the professional development of nurses who support people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

The Annual Conference will provide nurses and other interested health care professionals working in the ID/DD field with educational programs addressing a variety of contemporary issues with a host of esteemed presenters. The conference will also provide an opportunity for nurses to enhance and reflect on their own practice and to network with colleagues throughout the state.

The Planning Committee will work collaboratively throughout the winter/spring to select topics and speakers. Planning begins with a review of the feedback and recommendations from past attendees and clinicians who work in the ID/DD field. Our goal is to offer the most contemporary and engaging sessions. 

We encourage you to share your recommendations for topics and/or speakers with the Planning Committee. Please email your suggestions to information@nysidddna.org. This is your opportunity to have an influence on the programs offered.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The Call for Proposals is now open. If you are interested in presenting at the 2025 Annual Conference, please complete the Call for Proposal Form 2025 and email it to information@nysidddna.org. The due date for proposals is March 21. Proposals will continue to be accepted after this date as space allows.

REGISTRATION

The registration site will open by May 30, 2025. The Master Schedule, the list of programs, the registration fees, and information about payment will be posted on the website prior to that date. We offer a reduced registration fee for NYSIDDDNA 2025 members. In addition, early bird rates are available for members and non-members who register within the early bird timeframe. 

Please Note: DDNA membership does not qualify for the member rate for the NYSIDDDNA Annual Conference.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

The NYSIDDDNA 2025 Annual Conference will be held at the Albany Marriott, which is located at 189 Wolf Road, Albany, New York. The conference hotel room rate will be available until August 25, 2025. Information about booking your hotel room will be posted on the website by May 30, 2025. Please Note: Hotel rooms are not included in the conference registration fee.

EXHIBITORS & SPONSORS

The NYSIDDDNA 2025 Annual Conference provides companies and organizations an excellent opportunity to showcase their products and/or services to nursing and administrative professionals who specialize in the support of people with intellectual/ developmental disabilities. Our attendees appreciate the opportunity to learn about the products and services you provide to enhance the care and services they provide.

The Exhibit Hall will be open on Monday, September 15 and Tuesday, September 16. The location of the exhibitor tables will provide attendees with easy access to the exhibitors during the breaks and between sessions.

Information for Sponsors: We encourage you to consider becoming an Annual Conference sponsor. Sponsors are recognized for their contributions in writing and during the Annual Conference. The Sponsor Agreement Form is posted in the column on the right.

Sponsorships can be in the form of:

• An unrestricted grant that will be used where most needed as determined by the conference planners.
• A restricted grant that is designated for a specific purpose. Some options for restricted grants include sponsoring an item for all attendees (e.g., conference bags, folders, notepads, pens), sponsoring a food event (e.g., lunch, breakfast, a morning or afternoon break, a reception), providing funds to support a specific need (e.g., AV support or other technical need), or choosing another way to support attendees.

The amount of the sponsorship will depend on the option selected. If you are interested in becoming a conference sponsor, please email information@nysidddna.org to discuss options.

Exhibitors who are interested in hosting an evening educational dinner for attendees are encouraged to email information@nysidddna.org to discuss your interest. The best evenings to host an educational dinner program are Monday, Sept. 15 and Tuesday, Sept. 16.
